Equator Village Maldives is located in the southern most Atoll. To reach Addu Atoll and Gan (the island where the airport and resort is located) you will have a scenic flight from Male to Gan and which is something you will never forget. During the 70 minutes exotic journey you will witness the real Maldives from above, all kinds of beautiful atolls, islands and of course the blue ocean beneath you passing by.
Before landing on Gan you will see that it is a large island, at least compared to the “normal” Maldivian islands. With its length of 5 km and width of 3 km it is among the largest natural islands of the Maldives. Equator Village is located in the Gan Island, Addu atoll 1 Km from the Gan Airport. And what is more the Addu Atoll is even south of the equator. That’s probably the resort is called Equator Village.
The bungalows with a total of 78 rooms are located in nice garden area with a profusion of flowers, bushes and trees. All rooms are spacious and equipped with air-condition, refrigerator, shower (hot & cold water) sitting area and veranda.
As Island is connected to other villages by causeways tourists can freely move to see the local culture and way of life of the Maldivian people. Equator Village- Gan offers bicycle for those who wish to ride and explore the islands on their own. There is lush tropical vegetation on Gan Island and other neighboring islands. There is a long white sandy beach just 100 meters from the hotel for the guest to enjoy the coral and other marine life is ideal for snorkeling.
The reception area is equipped with satellite TV and IDD telephone facilities. Also, the resort provides following facilities: a fully equipped bar, open air restaurant and a nice billiard room with an antique table. The large fresh water swimming pool has direct access to the beach and is equipped with a pool bar as well as a children’s section. Around the pool plenty of beach chairs, beach umbrellas available at no cost to clients. There is tennis court, squash, volleyball, dart billiards, table tennis, catamaran sailing, windsurfing and snorkeling.
At about 25 meters from the beach you will find a nice house reef. It is the place to go snorkeling. Beautiful corals and a lot of fish can be seen. But for those who want to see more, in the near distance of the hotel you will find a fully equipped diving base.
The diving base offers resorts courses, PADI Open Water courses and of course Advanced Courses too. As the instructors know the area very well, they will escort you on the boat trips to the most beautiful dive spots. And as the region is not too crowded yet, every dive will be a new adventure. Everything you ever dreamt of, can be seen.

The rooms are separated by thick green shrubs blooming with pretty flowers. During the day, guests are treated to their very own ‘Nat-geo’ moment of the bumble bees and butterflies buzzing around the flowers. Apart from the slight buzzing and humming of these exquisite insects, the resort tends to be quiet throughout the day.
The sound of waves (because of the beaches close proximity to the room) are something of a night jingle (but in a softer, more soothing tone)

Check- in time
Check-in time at the resort is at 14:00 Hrs/02:00 PM. Early Check-in is subject to availability on date of arrival and may include additional charges.
Check- out time
Check-out time at the resort is 12:00 Hrs/12:00 Noon. Late Check-out is subject to availability and payments.
Children/Beds
Children are not accommodated at the Water Bungalows unless disclaimer is signed by the parents

Cancellation Policies
If you are unable to travel or utilize the accommodation and services previously confirmed via email, cancellation fees may apply.
No Show: 100% Charge.
A change in the length of stay or dates of your reservation is considered a revision. Revisions are subject to availability and rate changes; and may also constitute a cancellation. In case of shortened length of stay, the cancellation policy will apply for the cancelled nights. If a booking deposit is to be refunded (at the discretion of the Management), please note that any credit card surcharge or currency fluctuations are unable to be refunded.
